Finding natural locations on satellite

I'm slowly building up the tag->address mapping for my photography map.

Mostly it's easy- look up addresses, make sure the geocoder can handle them, add them to the hash.

But there are some large natural ones that I just wouldn't be able to find without using satellite.

For example, cascadehead near Lincoln City- hard to find, but compare this picture to this satellite view. Easy to see.

Likewise, it's tough to get any kind of address for the day Tim took some pictures of us surfing at Trestles. But all it took was a few minutes combing the shoreline near the closest result to find the famous train trestles. From there it's easy to trace the path up north, along the cookie-cutter houses, and across the highway to where we parked.

Harder to spot is the great white that was reported in the area later that week.

As an aside, the mouse-wheel zooming in Google Maps is awesome.
