Custom songs in Guitar Hero 2

I'm incredibly excited to find out that it's getting easier to play custom songs in Guitar Hero 2. Now I'm racking my brain for what would be the first songs I'd trascribe to put on it.

I'm thinking Stairway to Heaven, maybe a Beatles song or two, and definitely a lot of Lou Reed/Velvet Underground. There are a lot of artists that I bet you could do fun things with- Radiohead, Beck, Smashing Pumpkins, etc.

And don't get me started on what bass lines would be great in there.

I realize playing Guitar Hero may be seen as kind of lame for somebody who plays in real bands (although I haven't for months with all the moving and traveling), but damn it's fun.

Maybe I can justify it though: Games are learning, that's what makes them fun. Music is half creating, half learning. So as long as you're building/creating stuff in the rest of your life, guitar hero can satisfy a big chunk of musical desire in a very rewarding way (since it's possible to become perfect on a guitar hero song way faster than playing it on a real guitar).

Okay, actually I think I just talked myself out of that position. I'm gonna go play my bass now.
