A better photo feed

Casey Muller

I get two complaints about the Atom feed of my last 50 photos:

  1. Too many items come in huge bursts for people who use river of news rss readers, which they then have to scroll through. I.e. too much information.
  2. Many RSS readers only show the last N items, where N is less than my average photo upload, so they miss whole days or even trips. I.e. too little information.

One solution to both would be to delete many more photos before the upload step.

That's not my way.

Instead, I've created a new feed that has one item for each day I upload any photos, showing the first couple, plus more if there are location changes (which will probably reveal issues with my location-handling).

Subscribe to it, and you'll see only a few samples at a time while still keeping tabs on my every move (although the map probably is easier for that).

Uploaded today: family gatherings, sculptures, sunsets, and some rare Casey.
