I finally went to get my student loans from MIT deferred while I'm at NYU, and I discovered that... my federal loans are already deferred until 2008.

I don't know why I'm so astonished, since I submitted several documents (including the FAFSA) to various branches, but the idea that the info would make it over to the loans department, and they would voluntarily stop billing me just really came as a surprise.

Now I just need to get the MIT loans taken care of myself.
