Let's call the last six months of inactivity on this site "infrastructure development". Right after my last post, my graphics card overheated from a broken fan, and shortly thereafter my motherboard died. So I stripped all the usable components and put them in a new small form factor box, which is up and struggling with Doom3. Normally my old desktop becomes a server when I upgrade, but I think the watercooling system on the recently decommissioned unit has been enough of a headache that I'm going to stick with this rickety old '98 machine for a while longer.

So that process only took a month or so, but since then I've been working on a more personal "infrastructure development" project (cross your fingers), and haven't had time to do more than upload photography. But now I'm back up and running, so look to see a few things I'm working on get posted here in the near future (also new site designs; the black and green is starting to grate on me).

Finally, I hope that one or two of the indie movie projects I've worked on will finish editing so I can create a whole new section of nullt.com around that stuff. We shall see.

Update: Now that I finally have posts in two different months, I had to go and write the sort-by-month code, so that's available, if anybody else is using my code or wants to know one way to do it in perl.
